Belinda Boring

Broken Promises was a fantastic book to read. The plot was absolutely brilliant, I have not come across a book like it ever!
I really liked Bri’s character, how determined she is to save her boyfriend Quinn no matter what danger she puts herself in along the way.
I was also secretly hoping that she would forget about Quinn and get it on with Liam while saving the world.

I was hooked to the book from the very beginning, it was very well written and I cannot wait for book 2 to come out.… (mehr)

The relationship was already in full swing in this novel. Darcy is the soon to be mate of Alpha Wolf Mason. Very early on a tragedy occurred and the story consists of mostly the couple dealing with the aftershock of their loss. I saw this story as a look at how a couple deal with the stages of grief and how that loss can affect their relationship. Some of the most difficult moments for Darcy and Mason was putting blame on the right person or people and forgiveness, especially forgiving oneself. Mason and Darcy had a good relationship going and it was nice to see how they work out their differences using communication and compromise.

The story was okay but I was frustrated with Darcy's sense of urgency dealing with danger, I understand that she prefers to deal with things peacefully by talking it through, but when the situation is obviously a lost cause and violence seems to be the only way out she still hesitates. Darcy has a bad ass wolf living inside her and she seems to dislike bringing it forward when necessary.

Not a bad read and liked the look back at how Darcy and Mason met.… (mehr)

I have NEVER read a book where the alpha male is actually a Beta to his woman. Yes, I have seen mated wolves where the wife called some of the shots but something in this book was right but then there were parts that felt all wrong.

What I did love was Darcy.. she was so much fun and so real. There were several times in the book where I felt as if I was right beside her in her "crimes of passion". I think what really bothered me was the immediate death of the alpha's sister in the beginning of the book.

We did not have time to get to know the characters and the book fell flat shortly after for the most part. Still a three star read but paranormal is hard to get into and this one I struggled with at times.… (mehr)
