Techniques for the defense against knife are not on of interest for maritla artists in the various disciplines. Everyone who is looking for effective ways to defend himslef against these attacks in all kinds of situations will find detailed instructions in this book.

In numerous exercise forms and conbinations, illustrated with about 1,700 color photos, this book describes the use of distracting techniques, concepts to control and secure the knife-holding hand, and how to disarm the attacker.

The book also demonstrates the defense against knife atacks from a close distance, in a standing as well as in a lying position. Hereby the author has made use of his extensive knowledge of the Brazilian Luta-Livre and of Filipino Marital Arts.

Christian Braun has been practicing various forms of Martial Arts for 20 years. Amongst other things he is a Grand Master in Ju-Jutsu (5th dan). He is the holder of further Master titles in traditional Jiu-Jitsu systems and is an instructor in Progressive Fighting systems, Madunong Guro in Eskrima and Luta-Livre. For several years he has instructed on national courses throughout Germany for the German Ju-Jutsu Association, and has officiated as the main instructor for instructor training for the German Association.

In order to be able to train effectively in jiu-jitsu, this book has been constructed to cover the basic positions, techniqeus and combinations required. Jiu-Jitsu Training moves on from the author's first book, Jiu-Jitsu-The Basics, and is directed at every jiu-jitsuka who has learned the basics and wants to improve. In more than a thousand illustrative photogaphs, the techniques are explained step by step.

In addition to this, the reader will find an introduction to self-defense in groundwork. Themes about self-defense against attacks with weapons (stick and knife) and against attacks using firearms at close range are also included, as well as lessons concerning locking, throwing, striking and kicking techniques. This book will not only allow every jiu-jitsuka to consequently prepare him/herself effectively for a grading test, it will also provide the trainer with a comprehensive reference book.
