Account of the first year of US occupation of Iraq by the top US administrator. Interesting to compare with Life in the Emerald City which takes a much more negative view.

“… Paul Bremer was head of the Coalition Provisional Authority which was the provisional government following the invasion of Iraq. When I read his book the thing that caught my eye was that there were some authorities in Iraq that communicated with Bremer behind closed doors because they didn’t want to tarnish their image with the Iraqi people…”.
