We were left hanging a little at the end of Schooled. The proposition these boys, I mean men, gave Janelle was jaw-dropping. Intriguing, but jaw-dropping. Coming into this book, we know there is going to be jealously and some heartbreak!
I knew who I was rooting for from the very beginning of the first book. I am not going to say who I was rooting for, because then I would be a spoiler since that is who came out on top.... Well, actually everyone came out on top.
I was pleased with how the rest of this story played out. I was not disappointed in any way with any part of this book. Deena changed up her writing style a little in this book. I absolutely loved the side dialogue in this book. It made it so much more entertaining and page-turning.
Alexander and Leo seem to want to fight until the death of one another for the love and attention of Janelle. On some level, who wouldn't want to great men vying for them? Janelle eats it up, which causes her some confusion, and forces her to start making some hard choices.
Revenge is sought in the most perfect way with her ex-husband. I had to laugh right along with Janelle's character. We all have that one person we could never stand up to, but at some point have to let karma kick them in the ass.
Be prepared for more than one spark of love in this book. There are a few twists in this conclusion we should have all seen coming. Maybe we did, but we ignored them with the intrigue from the main plot of the story. Things end up as they should be. You won't be disappointed in how this book ends. You will laugh, cry and smile all through this book... maybe not in that order and in some cases you may do all at the same time.… (mehr)

Scandalous. I think that is what drew me in to this book. High school teacher on the brink of divorce trying to find her way. Finding a path through a couple of former students who are all grown up now is definitely something no one would expect. I am not going to go on and on about this book. Why? Well, simply because you will need to read it yourself.
What I will tell you is this is about a woman who has always followed the path that she thought she should follow. Things never work out when one just goes with the motions. She and her husband are splitting up. He is off with his newest bimbo, and Janelle is left questioning everything she has ever known, mainly herself. She is out to find herself and the person she should have been from the beginning.
Finding unlikely allies in two hot men and one hot female, who happen to all be former students is just the way she seems to find what she is looking for. However, just like anything else, she finds more than she ever imagined or bargained for. What happens in the pool house, may not stay in the pool house.… (mehr)
