This was not greatest book, but still had a few features that I did like about the book. One of the things that I did l like were the illustrations, because they were colorful and clearly went along with the text. Such as when the author writes about Eddie and the dog playing fortress, and being pirates this is what the images clearly depict. I also liked that the varied in size. The text was bolder when the author was trying to stress a point, such as when she writes, “he came back,” and the came back portion was written in big bold letters to help express the excitement Eddie was feeling.
The overall message of this story was that friendships start from a commonality.… (mehr)

Eddie and Dog meet by chance and an immediately form an unbreakable bond rooted in friendship and their shared love of adventure. Eddie's mom insists that their lack of yard could never make Dog happy and promptly sends him away to a home better suited to an adventurous canine, but, much to Eddie's delight, Dog returns the next day. Eddie's mother continues to separate the friends, but Dog never gives up and eventually comes up with the perfect solution to make everyone happy!
