"EPHRAIM" BY Chicki Brown

My Assessment:

"Ephraim" was a good read that will keep one's attention turning the pages to keep up with Ephraim King and Serenity James. The way they meet and what happens afterward with these two will be quite a sweet story that this author presents to the reader. To fully understand this series, I suggest you read Book 1 of the Champions 'Sebastian'. This next series brings how Ephraim's come into play with the guys and their supernatural abilities. Saving the lives of Serenity and her three friends [Trina, Jayme, and Nkem] was a good thing for Ephraim in that he finally has found someone that gives him those unique feelings in his life. Serenity was a mess after the death of her twin brother [Dante]. What will happen after Serenity meets Ephraim, finds out what he did for a living, and why this affected her so much? How will these two lives change after they become involved? Will Serenity be able to dance after her accident due to the wall that collapses on her at Euphoria club? Will Ephraim be able to find the job that he will be able to enjoy? There will be a lot that will go on in this story, so pick up this good read and see how these two will be able to work it all out in the end.

The team of friends that Ephraim had was exciting in what each of them could do in helping not only each other [Ephraim, Sebastian, Adrian, Lennox, Zachary, and Lucien] but those in need without particularly any pay. Find out what that is all about in this enjoyable paranormal romance read that will keep one's interest until the end, and yes, I would recommend 'Ephraim.'

"We Are Family" by Chicki Brown

My Speculation:

I enjoyed "We Are Family" that featured two sisters who were opposites who had to come and work together due to their parents retiring, leaving the states and leaving the business to them. The author gives the reader a good read of family relationships, with beautiful descriptions of what is going on that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next. By the end of this story, you will have read one well-written story that shows even when there is a conflict coming at you right and left how well it can still all turn out.… (mehr)

"You Know How To Love Me" by Chicki Brown

My Thoughts.....

This was a good story that featured Chelsea Olson and Isaac 'Ike' Sloane. The story evolves around Chelsea who was white and had been raised by a 'conservative southern preacher' but never would she let that blind her to not only having black friends but to even interracial dating. Having friends who were black was who Chelsea was all about. However, never having 'a serious relationship with anyone' after meeting Ike Sloane who was her boss will that change? The story really plays out very well somewhat predictable at times in the story, however, still a good read. How will 'outside forces and attitudes that Chelsea will experience in this relationship with Ike turn out for her? I enjoyed how this author was able to give the reader some knowledge of how life can be in situations that Chelsea had to face. However, there will also be some things that will be an eye opener for Ike as he too had been through some things also in his life. Will these two be able to make it together as one? Will they both know how to love one another due to the pressure they are in? Well, this is where I say you will have to pick up this good read of "You Know How to Love Me" to see how this author will bring it all out to the reader. I will say I loved the ending of 'The Lake Trilogy' that brings the series all together so very well. If you haven't read this series please do so ...you will enjoy them!… (mehr)

"A Song For You" by Chicki Brown

My Thoughts...

What a good read this novel was that will definitely keep you turning the pages till the end. This was definitely a story of how opposites attract as it was for Breelyn and Pierce. I will say that Bree got on my nerves a lot but I just kept on reading to see when it would start to sink in for her that maybe her reasoning wasn't the correct way. I am so glad that Pierce kept in there through all the drama that came his was when it was to Bree where he 'didn't play games with his heart.' Definitely a read where love will find a way especially when two people are designed to be together. I can't wait for the next series of 'The Lake Series Book 3.… (mehr)
