I can still remember
the very day
when I saw
a video
of this
man
standing
on a podium
in front of what
appeared to be like
ten thousand people,
talking about success,
talking about life,
talking about discipline,
and talking about effort.

His soothing voice
and his eloquent words
of knowledge and wisdom
have immediately
caught my attention.

Needless to say,
I shed a few tears
watching and listening
to him,

listening to what he had to say
to such an enormous crowd
and to me through that video.

I was immediately hooked,
in fact, so hooked that I decided
to learn more of him,
of his knowledge
and of his wisdom.

So I watched a few more videos
of him talking to thousands of people,
and was more and more amazed
by his confidence, his courage,
his bravery, and his charisma.

In a way, his eloquent words
were the catalysts of my
personal transformation.

It's because of his eloquent words,
I started to see things differently
than they initially were in my eyes.

And as a result to that
I started to open my mind
and my heart to those
who have opened their minds
and their hearts to me.

And as result to that openness
I sort of also grew my own confidence,
my own courage, my own bravery,
minus the charisma.

Basically, this man has in a way
helped me transform my life,
and I'll be always grateful
to him for that.

And if you'll read this book
that deals with the beauty
of your dreams
you are either aware of
or unaware of,

you're either willing to pursue
or unwilling to pursue,
you'll be grateful
to him as well,

for he has this truly special way
to bring out the best in people,
and his eloquent words
of knowledge and wisdom
will push you forward
and they will inspire you
to make that craziest
and wildest and most
impossible dream
you are dreaming about today,
or you dreamt about yesterday,
come true someday.

The book does not really focus or talk much about the 'power of purpose' so if you are looking insights on that, you may be disappointed.

Les Brown's delivery is funny and passionate. However, he laughs a lot and makes a lot of jokes which may be seen as disrespectful and unprofessional by some. The stuff he talks about, you can also find them in other books so dont expect anything new as the materials are from many years ago. Overall, it's still quite impactful for me.
