The Ipcress File von Sidney J. Furie
2023 movie #162. 1965. Harry Palmer (Caine) is a British spy looking for a kidnapped nuclear scientist. Designed to be a more gritty and realistic story than the James Bond movies. Pretty good. It helped make Michael Caine and international star.
A terrific little novel, perhaps not for young readers, as parts are pretty grim, but the portrayal of the young boys psychological response to the situations he is faced with are spot-on. Great book!
