Great plot twist
Fun book, fast read. Interesting plot, different from others I have read. Drew me to wanting to read the next in the series. Fell in love with main characters and enjoyed the suspense.

The blurb's comparison to Black Mirror doesn't lie: "This Is Not the Jess Show" is a really punchy little novel reminiscent of Black Mirror's "White Bear" episode and packed with delightful twists, 90s nostalgia, and a solid running commentary on the manipulation of relationships and fame. Even readers who are familiar with some of the tropes of this genre will have fun reading this one; the pacing keeps you wanting to turn the pages, and the entire world feels well-realized and complete. I lowkey got Grady Hendrix vibes from the writing, too, which, in my opinion, is a excellent sign. Honestly it's been a hot second since a YA thriller really did it for me, but I read this in two sittings and had a delight seeing it all unfold!… (mehr)

More intense than the first book, but the nostalgia was lacking and the ending was not very satisfying.
