Edwin F. Casebeer

I received this book as a member giveaway. I have to admit it took me a while to get into the storyline and for me the story being told in varying shades of fonts was very confusing. However, as confusing as this was for the first 261 pages of the story- this ended up being my favorite style for the last chapter due to the storyline. Actually raced through the last chapter partly due to the content, partly due to the style.
This story is one about a boy living during the war. From feelings of abandonment and loneliness to making the best of his situation, Hermy is just trying to survive in the best possible way that he can. The Casebeers tell a nice story but like said earlier, kind of confusing except for the ending which definitely made the story!… (mehr)
