The Worry Box appealed to me from the first time I saw the cover. The adorable star-covered box and little bear made my day. I myself struggle with worrisome thoughts, and I first noticed my oldest kid struggling with worrisome thoughts when she was only three years old. The Worry Box would be the perfect read for families like mine. Murray Bear, the main character, is a young bear who is struggling with his own worries during the book. Murray Bear’s mom had something great to teach him. His mom shared her own coping mechanism in the form of sweet advice stating, "When I'm worried about something, I write it down and I put it in my worry box." Murray Bear's mom's advice is one of the coping mechanisms that I have been using for years. The author writes this skill out for children to learn in such a sweet, creative book that I would recommend to any child or parent.… (mehr)
