Some of this was a bit simplistic, but that turned out to be a good thing, because it offers a pretty simple, step-by-step explanation of the things I need help with the most--the art side of things. These guys also have an interesting way of approaching genre and describing graphic narrative that I've not seen before, and I like some of their thoughts. The tone is sometimes childish considering the technical aspects they get into at the end of the book, but over all, I felt like I learned something and had fun doing it.… (mehr)

On the one hand it's a pretty brief overview, on the other it attempts to be way too serious about publication and stuff (as well as way too negative).
Seems like it's the kind of book that people who kind of who have read a lot of graphic novels, or think there's money in them, read when they want to write one, but then never actually finish it. So, yeah, not very inspiring.
