Johnnie Christmas

"Crema" offers up a story of ancient ghosts, lots of coffee, and queer girls, set primarily in Brazil and with a fast-moving plot. On the whole it's a fun premise, and the artwork is a lovely, warm, muted palette of colors that reflect that story really nicely. It's a bit of an "easy" read; there's immediate insta-love that sort of lacks chemistry at the start, and the twists are predictable and nothing fresh. I wanted this to be MORE- more developed, more plot, more talking to avoid cheesy misunderstandings. But it's a solid read in it's own way, and I think fans of works like "Lobizona" by Romina Garber or "Moonstruck" by Grace Ellis would enjoy this.… (mehr)
