I was interested in reading this as I have attended the speaker series held by the Australian Israel Chamber of Commerce featuring successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. I am fascinated by the start-up culture in Israel and knew little else about life in Israel until reading Colorni's Israel for Perplexed Beginners. I learned a fascinating assortment of general knowledge while having a laugh.
This book is written with humor and lightness. It is divided into chapter essays which makes this, what could otherwise equate to a tedious text book, a really engaging easy read.… (mehr)

Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben.A humorous approach to life in Israel for the Jewish people. This was done in a funny, short essay type form. Easy and quick to read. I thought this would be for anyone going to Israel, so as I Christian, I could not relate to a lot of it. Loved the description of "kvetching" and other words that have peppered my American-ese. I would recommend this book for a Jewish person going to Israel.
