This is a delightful book about a boy named Louis who is always interrupting others because his thoughts and words are extremely important. He compares his mouth to a volcano erupting as it cannot be controlled. The illustrations are fun and the words are written in a whimsical way. When Louis is interrupted by his classmates, he learns that it does not feel good to not be respected. He learns to practice more self control when others are talking and wait his turn.
Great series to discuss emotions and feelings. Wilma Jean worries about everything whether it's at school or home. Wilma Jean worries about missing the bus and having to eat carrots at lunch. Wilma Jean's teacher helps her figure out that you can control your thoughts and what you worry about. Students will find this book fun and humorous while learning strategies and tools to help control their worries. If you love this book you'll enjoy reading more books by Julia Cook.
