This revised edition was an interesting read. Cook lays out statistics and facts quite clearly, stating short-comings and misinformation along with the biggest issue with male abuse: that current society doesn't see it as possible. I liked how his premise was that abuse of no kind was alright - whether it was done to women or men. His highlighting of current research and societal bias towards seeing men as perpetrators and women as victim was significant: it shows how current gender roles - traditional, patriarchal gender roles - are damaging to both men and women.
Good read - would suggest it to anyone who thinks they're for gender equality.… (mehr)
