Basho:
born of a dream
what can we know
of the real

somehow still not dead
tho the journey’s at its end
autumn darkening

Taigi:
the first flush of love
up against a stone lantern
a face and a face

Issa:
to go from one hot
tub to soak in another
so much silliness

Shiki:
the boat and the shore
conversing all day long in

Cid (Sidney) Corman (June 29, 1924 – March 12, 2004) was an American poet, translator and editor, most notably of Origin, who was a key figure in the history of American poetry in the second half of the 20th century.
