A very powerful though sometimes very grim collection. A lot of poems on death and loneliness; some moved me to tears. Some agreeable ones on love.Has poems by many recognized major poets and samples by others I did not know. Only a few poems by any one athor, which I think is good but may be due to writers only choosing to write a few poems in traditional forms. Includes a few by X.J. Kennedy whom I heard read poetry and discuss his traditional verse magazine Counter-measures. Has a useful list in back of the forms used.… (mehr)
