Über den Autor

Joseph A Dandurand is a Kwantlen Aboriginal from Kwantlen First Nation in British Columbia. He is a poet, playwright, and archaeologist. Dandurand received a Diploma in Performing Arts from Algonquin College and studied Theatre and Direction at the University of Ottawa. Myths for kids, a fun, playful story about how you don't sell out your friends when Thowxiya (the Kwantlen "Wild Woman of the Woods," incarnated as a feast dish) demands you feed them to her or she'll devour your family instead, but find a way to trick her (Raven helps, of course) and make everyone friends again AND with food in their bellies. Dandurand opens his soul to give a simple voice to complex thoughts and emotions here. His words are clear and small but are able to reveal to the mind's eye his situation directly and we are able to empathize and understand the world he resides in.
