This is a delightful book that teaches the varied life of those who live on a farm and how each family member engages in the life and chores of the farm. Primarily, the focus is on boots and how each type of chore and each season brings a need for a different type of boot.
As a parent, my first thought was how does a family budget for so many boots but it was a consoling thought that the care and protection of the feet by using different protection is primary.
Colorful and delightful pictures illustrate the book showing a happy family and cheerful, frolicking animals. A nice, educational look at farm life.

We start off with the Taekwondo Oath, which is just respectful in all forms, and then we're off to the wonderous story! All of the kitties are learning the sport from their Master, and all of them are super cute and fluffy! Along the way, some of the kittens have trouble learning but slowly gain their confidence with the help of their Master and friends. With hard work comes perseverance, and that's what this book is all about!
The book uses correct terminology - dhee, jeja, sabeomnim - which really made my heart sing. I remember doing martial arts back in the day and that really brought back some memories. At the end, there is even a collection of words with their pronunciation and their definitions. I think this is one awesome educational way to introduce martial arts and taekwondo to kids!
I also totally adore the cartoon cats throughout the book. They are the perfect mix of adorableness and colourful!
I think this is one of the best, sweet, little books to introduce hard work and martial arts to kids. It's full of lovely pictures and has an enticing story. I'd definitely recommend young readers pick up this wildly fun book!
