In quilting, the Nine-Patch block is a good, basic block that still can be quite stunning. This book, Nine-Patch Revolution, takes this basic concept and changes it up, in 20 different quilt variations -- with photos and instructions.

I have not yet tried any of the patterns, so I can't evaluate accuracy or ease of following directions, but one thing I really like about this book is that it provides suggestions in visual diagram form, on how to machine quilt the finished tops -- instead of just simply saying "quilt as desired" as many patterns do. This is helpful for quilters who machine quilt at least some of their own quilts, instead of sending them out to be quilted.… (mehr)
