A basic introduction to Sikhism with a mingling of excepts from their holy scriptures, the Siri Granth Sahib. Written and self published by an academic, more careful editing was needed. The most interesting part of the book was a student interview with a Captain Singh. My impression was that he was the leader of the local Sikh gurdwara (temple or meeting house). He provided the reader with the best description on Sikh history in the book.
