I've read every story in this anthology, and as a whole this is a 5 / 5 star read. I highly suggest giving it a read if you have kindle unlimited, or purchasing it! This is a charity anthology for Jobs with Justice.

I love Beckett so much. He is grumpy, moody, and hates everybody. Kinda reminds me of Grumpy Bear, and you just wanna snuggle him, then give him a cold beer.

Madilyn was such a strong character, and you could really feel how it felt to work in a male dominated field as a woman, even with it being a short story.

They way that Beckett and Madilyn spark with each other, and butheads, you just know they are meant for each other. The spicy was lovely. The way that Beckett wanted to protect Madilyn, yet wanted to keep her at a distance, made my little heart pitter patter.

Definitely give this a read!

I found Della to be so relatable, and I liked her so very much. I would read more about this character.

I found Nico to be so adorable, and so relatable with what we got about him. I would read more about this character.

I really enjoy hookups/one night stands, turning into something else, so if you enjoy that kind of thing… I say give this short story a go. I am definitely going to be checking out more of M Leigh Morhaime work.

I totally related to Birdie in SOOOOOO many ways. I loved her, almost shyness, but that word doesn’t quite fit what I am trying to say. I totally understood how she felt when she first meets Roman, and i wish when that interaction woulda happened to me, a sexy sunshine guy was there to help save me.

Roman is so adorable, with how he just jumps right in with the fake dating, and being possessive of Birdie. Even though he fully doesn’t understand what is going on. I am down bad for a guy who will step in when bad exs try to pull things. I just loved him. He seemed so sunshiney in a way. I really hope that we get more about these two,

I love seeing stories about women in male dominated fields, and this story has a bit of that. We also get some lovely. And a MMC that just will not let FMC go. He wants to see how they burn together, and I am 100% here for it.

I highly recommend this story. And that you check out A.D. McCammon's other works. Everything I have read by them is 5 stars.

Bad Apple by Victoria Ellis & Dee Lagasse

This short story is a sweet, quick read with a hint of spice. I instantly fell in love with Lucy. The way that she was not afraid of Sam's reputation and right away wanted to welcome him is so endearing. She is someone that I would want to be friends with.

When Sam smiled, he warmed my heart, but it was when he put a comforting hand on Lucy's leg to help calm her anxiety that really won me over. These two shared a few spicy moments together. Yep, they did it in the janitor's closet.… (mehr)

This was as bad as it gets for me. Timelines messed up....I still think it's evening after he dropped her off at home, when in fact, it's the next day at lunch. Skipping from one scene to another is SO rocky! It actually felt like a first time writer/book. I actually like insta-love but this was ridiculous! He is bossing her around the minute they meet! Her accident issues are ridiculous too! Reviews on this one are really questionable.....if this is a 5 star read for them then they have never read a great, can't put down, book. This was not it! Unfortunately, not on Kindle Unlimited so wasted my money.… (mehr)

His Protection by K.L. Donn is the 7th book in the Mafia Made series written by K.L. Donn and E.M. Shue. This book was a short quick read that packed a punch. There was no drawn-out story it got right to the point and I liked that. His Protection is the 1st book that I've read in this series and I did realize rather quickly that I didn't know the backstories of other characters but I really didn't need them to understand everything going on in this one.
His Protection is about Maso Cardarelli who's the oldest son in his family and takes on the mission of finding a set of twin girls for his new sister-in-law his brother rescued from a church orphanage. The family found out the priest at the church they were staying at was assaulting and trafficking the kids that came through it. While Isabel was there she met a set of twin girls and knew when she got out of there she was going to find them. Maso was in charge of finding Bria and this is their story. Bria and her sister were sold to two brothers who needed to marry to get their inheritance. They also bought them with the intent to save them from the hell they were living in but that didn't work out so well for Bria. This girl who has gone mute from her trauma is one hell of a strong woman. The things she has been through at the hands of cruel men in her life are unbelievable.
I gave this book a 4-star rating and a 3-spicy rating because of how the relationship blossomed throughout the book between Maso and Bria. Neither of them ever thought they could find someone and feel whole but they did. Both have been through heartbreak that kept them from letting anyone in but they finally did with each other. This was just an all-around good read and hit all the marks for me.
