Faye E. Dudden

I selected this monograph to review for my Women's Studies class. I didn't really expect anything stellar in particular, but I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. A couple of the chapters seemed like they dragged on a bit too long, but because I myself am an actress, it was amazing to see the effects these women had on the early years of theatre. Much of it I never knew, although I had heard of Kemble and Cushman.

A really good book, on the whole. A good one to review.
