A fantastic tale of a world full of monsters and mercenary bands out to kill them.
Sometimes the humour is overflowing, sometimes memes pop up in your head... but it's a fun read, nicely paced, and though the world is lacking details here and there, I can't wait for the sequel.

Bloody Rose and her gang have no other choice, as a horde of monsters is descending on the kingdom of Grandual.
I like best how Eames puts in all those little funny lines and references. For me this is the best part of the book and the entertainment. The story asa whole does drag through a few chapters sometime after the midpoint, but the endfight is inevitable.
The epilogue is too schmarmy. Not for the book maybe, but it's protagonists. So, overall I have to deduct juuust a little bit when it comes to the rating, so it's 4,5.… (mehr)
