Nick is an FBI agent working a serial killer case. Meadow is the serial killer’s first victim, and only victim who lived. The two meet and there’s an instant attraction. But Meadow has issues with her attack still. And it takes a little bit for Nick to get through her shell. The two work together to help uncover the identity of the serial killer while falling in love.

This was pretty interesting. It had romance. It had suspense and drama. It had all the elements I like to make a good book. The characters did get a little annoying in parts when they would hold their own little pity parties about certain things. But those didn’t really cause too much drama either. Most of the drama came from the serial killer case.

I liked Nick in Meadow as a couple for the most part. He pretty much knew she was it from for him and he was very patient with her. But her self-esteem was very low and that almost ruined things for them. But it was nice getting to see the get their HEA… (mehr)

Ethan became a single dad at 16 when his baby mama signed over her parental rights. So for the past 8 years, he’s done nothing but do his best to be a good father to his daughter Carson. He didn’t want her feeling as if she was missing a mother. When he meets Honor, it’s not exactly love at first sight. But when she becomes his roommate, things begin to heat up. She’s excellent with Carson and Ethan begins to feel things for Honor he’s never felt for another woman. The two begin dating, but both have past baggage that threatens what they’re building.

Ethan and Honor were cute. But Ethan was pretty stubborn. Even though he had plenty of experienced older men trying to show him the way, he managed to mess up colossally with Honor. But when she’s in danger, he steps up when he sees what life could be like without her. Unlike the previous book, this one was more romance and less suspense. I do like the suspense aspect a bit more with these books, so I was missing that. But it was sweet watching them build a family together with Carson.… (mehr)
