Troels Engberg-Pedersen is educated in classics and philosophy and has spent his life as a professor of New Testament at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Paulus om identitet: Hvordan er apostlen relevant… von Troels Engberg-Pedersen

Bogens styrke er dens sidste kapitel, der på en tankevækkende måde aktualiserer Paulus ind i dansk samfundstænkning. Undervejs har TEP antaget som selvfølge, at ingen i vore dage (undtagen, som han siger det, "nogle få fundamentalister") kan tage Paulus' kristentro til sig. Han har draget en række delkonklusioner, som efter min mening er tendentiøse og ikke særlig vel underbygget. Ved at distancere sig fra det transformative potentiale i at tage Paulus' Kristustro (dybt) alvorligt til sig har TEP efter min mening savet den gren over, som den frugt, han gerne vil høste, hænger på. Selv om hans tanker i sidste kapitel er interessante, er det svært at se, hvordan de kan undgå at blive instrumentaliseret og i værste fald taget som gidsel i en identitetsdiskussion uden de rødder til Kristus, som TEP kapper i bogens første kapitler.… (mehr)
