A very well researched work on this often neglected war in South America, and one of the few published in the English language, numerous photographs from the conflict, with maps of the various battle that were fought. This book could be of interest to military historians of Latin America and the 20th Century, while wargamers who may be looking for a new theme could find that this is an interesting subject to utilize. A very detailed order of battle for both sides is also included at the rear of the book which for me was very helpful as it includes the newly raised battalions/regiments for the war as well as the pre-war regular units.… (mehr)
