Fifteen, the first book in the Dreamwalker Diaries, gave Ash a view of the future. Sixteen, the long awaited second book, will give her a view of the past. It's been six months, but the pain has remained as strong as before. Not knowing where to find relief, Ash settles for what must be the most stupid thing people have tried to (but try nevertheless), to go back in time in order to change the past!

However, before she can even start on this scheme she must be able to dreamwalk again, which ends her up doing community service for trying to buy drugs. And here Sixteen starts. All the characters from the original cast will make an appearance, but I won't go into the specifics in order to not spoil people who might want to read Fifteen first (which is what I would recommend).

Since it was about two years since I read Fifteen, I was a bit hazy on the details before I started Sixteen, and what surprised me most was how teenager-y it was. Of course Ash is just fifteen years old and when she's not fending of the demons, she is a normal teenager, but it somehow still took some getting used to it from my side. The story was still interesting, although it was a bit more of the same after a while. What I most certainly didn't like what the super sweet ending where it turned out that Nadine was only such an annoying person because the Jumlin was near. I would have much preferred to see her being not a likable person, but still not evil. Now it made the whole, we shouldn't kill you stuff way to easy.

Thanks to the publisher for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Rookie sports reporter is given senior journalist seat for baseball team in Las Vegas. Plus, she is a female to boot.

More than typical murder mystery set in the press box of the baseball stadium. Boring!

Sixteen (The Dreamwalker Diaries #2) by Jen Estes is a terrific follow up and I had to gulp this down in one big hunk! Wow, it was so good. It started where Fifteen left off but if you didn't read Fifteen, the author gives you enough info to get the drift of what went down without giving away to many spoilers. (Read Fifteen, do yourself a big favor! You will be glad you did! Awesome book!) There is more dreamwalking in this book, time traveling, lots of surprises, demons, and demon hunting..oh yeah! I am not much for time travel books, although I love fantasy, but this author does it right! Love the great characters, the plot, the action, the fun dialogue, and all the unexpected surprises. She just has to make another book! I will be (im)patiently waiting...Loved this book! Thanks Curiosity Quills for giving me the chance to read this!… (mehr)

Fifteen (The Dreamwalker Diaries Book 1) by Jen Estes is a very intense and young adult fantasy novel but one that adults will love too! It is so well done, and it keeps you on your toes. It is a nail biter, a fantasy, touch of romance, time travel, and just plain awesome! Every fifteen years there is a Dreamwalker, and lucky for our gal of the story, she is it. She is to save the world basically. It is soooo exciting. The plot is well thought out and the characters very well developed. I was going to give this a 4 star although I could not stop reading it until 2 am, but I thought about it the rest of the night. Any book that lingers that much and I keep thinking about must be a 5 star. There is so much to it, the back and forth time travel is well planned. This is why I normally don't like time travel books but this one is great. There are so many twists and surprises in the book, even to the end. Wow. I can't wait to read Sixteen! Thanks to Curiosity Quills I had a chance to read this book.… (mehr)
