Reclusive and tormented antiquarian bookseller + mysterious religio-scientific manuscript suddenly showing up + cast of shadowy supporting characters who one can never quite get a handle on + (mostly) slow-speed chases around Switzerland. An odd novel, not entirely successful in what it's trying to do, but interesting enough to keep the pages turning.

Very well written mystery that takes place in the antiquarian book world. The book is similar to the Da Vinci Code. The story moves along rapidly with interesting characters.

A 16th century manuscript on Kabbalah that includes Schrödinger’s equation? Yeah, that’s a great kick-off to a Dan Brown-ish conspiracy/suspense story. Findlay’s got a good set of characters and a nicely moving plot. Recommended!

The adventure begins without seeming to have direction, except for the search for answers.

This book is about math and physics and language and religion and belief and mysticism, but mostly it's an adventure. Great twists and turns, gaining speed as it goes.… (mehr)
