22 miniature quilts by well known designers are featured for the reader to reproduce. There is a chapter on basic supplies but each quilt has its own list of materials as well as instructions on how to make it. There is nothing new here for the reader to learn about how to embellish a quilt that we quilters have not already seen. The author has merely shown a photo of each quilt as inspiration for the reader. I don't see how the written instructions are helpful because it is obvious to me, an experienced embellisher, how each quilt was constructed. The book might be helpful to a beginning embellisher but I believe that there are more comprehensive books out there on embellishing for a beginner.… (mehr)
