Rezensionen

Excellent book on mass transit history. Fischler is more than a little biased toward streetcars, but he still covers the era well. He does accept the theory that General Motors et al. conspired together to close down streetcar companies in order to "encourage" transit riders to purchase cars; Bradford Snell's testimony before Congress and GM's reply to Snell are included at the end of the book.
