2023 movie #70. 1947. The "Beast" was the severed hand of a dead pianist who was terrorizing the pianist's former friends, but apparently only one person could see the hand (a crazy-eyed Lorre) and it killed him or something. Really more hokey, than scary.
After World War II, ex-soldiers trickle into French Saigon to join the Foreign Legion, among them American Whit Corbett and German Carl Reicher. Is Reicher really SS war criminal Martin Bruner, and is Corbett after him? Art dealer Van Ratten and nightclub chanteuse Lili Maubert are also more than they seem.
