Napoleon vs. the Bunnies (Head-to-Head History) von J. F. Fox
This was a very cute story. Is it true? No idea. But it will get children interested in the historical figure. I did enjoy the information in the end. It didn’t try to bias one in any generation, just left important information to let little minds think about.
Napoleon vs. The Bunnies is a great fictional tale that brings forth a very different kind of battle.
There's lots of great historical facts littered throughout this book, but nothing quite tops the inserted bunny comments that made me smile. It's a fun way to learn a bit about history but also get a fun story out of it. Kudos to Jenny Fox, this book was really sweet.
The illustrations are also fantastic. The faces the people in the book make will leave you grinning.
Overall, wonderful fiction tale for young readers seeking a little fun with a splash of historical context.

There are many great elements of the book
1.) Fathers playing with their children
2.) People of race
But honestly, I don't think this book works as a "bedtime story." It's too rowdy. Granted, it reflects the struggle of putting kids to bed. But I wouldn't read it at bedtime ;)
