I think I like to read books by people who have been diagnosed with horrible illnesses or diseases because I myself am SO TERRIFIED of doctors and hospitals and needles. I need to know every detail of what they go through so that when my time comes I'll be prepared.

Jane says "At the core of making change is attitude" and I really like her attitude towards her diagnosis and surgery. She is a very religious person so her attitude was "Well, either I'm going to be fine or I'm going to be with Jesus so either way is a win-win," but she also took charge of her situation and did a lot of research into what mental and physical changes she could make to help with her recovery.… (mehr)
