This prequel to the Codex series highly features the solid relationship that was seen within the series. I enjoyed reading more of this couple and felt that this book offered a broader relationship that was already there in the series. It has steamy scenes, family bonding, and a couple that definitely belonged together. Truly a wonderful addition to the Codex series,

The Codex series continues with the four archaelogists finding out more secrets that they unearthed while destiny has more plans for them. Along with friends, the four attempt to step ahead of certain figures that are out to get them. Mysterious disappearances, mystical powers, and danger tests the relationship and personal struggles the four antagonists must face as time is against them in this next installation of The Codex series.

This sequel provided enough information about the first book so readers aren't lost about the series. The four archaelogists were prominent in the story, with other characters also being given enough importance to provide a cohesive story. The premise is also interesting and entertaining, providing some action, mysticism, romance, and some twists to make the book feel complete. My only issue is one particular character that I was not enamored with; otherwise, the whole set of characters were delightful to read.
