A story of good against evil. There were a number of twists that involved love, family, and an relationshi. Truth and good triumphed after the succubent min character realized that love has many forms and what we want and need doesn’t have one definition. It held my attention and kept drawing me back to read more. I would like enjoy reading additional books if the author chooses to continue this story. I choose 4 stars because I was confused at times when a new twist was added and the connection wasn’t clear even at the end of the story. Perhaps this will be clearer in future tales.… (mehr)

Yeah, not a winner. The beginning was interesting - a very strange world, here-and-now with the addition of demons, in secret. Lily was a bit annoying with her low self-esteem (I'm dangerous, avoid me!), but it read like she might develop into something more. And in the end, it kind of worked out - she did improve, on several levels. But the middle was unbearable - I finally had to just skip over a chunk. She made wrong choice after wrong choice after the worst possible choice, over and over. I really liked the scene where she warded off Kaine and his plans... and then she ran away, leaving her boss with the worst possible interpretation of her (stupid) actions. I dislike unreliable narrator anyway, which is most of the point of this book - and apparently the next one too, she's going to have to deal with another brainwashed demon (or cambion, I couldn't tell from the excerpt). Excellent writing - rich characters, very good description, great dialog - but not a story that was worth reading for me.… (mehr)

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
Cambion's Blood is the second book in the Cambion series. It's about Lily investigating some murders, all men with blood drained and in their throats some feathers. Lily stumbles upon a young girl while she investigates the case, but it complicates things when the young girl is the the daughter of her former mentor. Feeling guilty about the way things ended between her former mentor Lily takes the girl under her wing and tries once again tries to shield someone she feels is innocent and find the real killer.

I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first, it progressed the plot and you learn more about Lily and her internal struggle because of her powers. No spoilers but the ending left me wanting to read the next book to see what Lily will do next. It's a solid urban fantasy series and I hope to see more of this world, there are so many possibilities for stories I am looking forward to see what direction Lily takes next

I read this book because i won book two in the series in a giveaway and i hate reading things out of order. It's a well written story with a well developed plot and interesting characters. i just didn't feel like i was reading anything new or different.
I think if you're new to the urban fantasy/romance genre this would be an excellent series to start with, but if you've read a lot of it you're going to feel like you're doing a reread. This could just be her laying the ground work for the rest of the series, we'll see😊😊

I did like how murder happy this author was, this book was a blood bath lol.
