Having written items for a community newspaper there several tidbits which you pick up and are somewhat interesting. To begin with, a sheet of newspaper consists of four pages, which is why there’s always a full page of print on every page.
In order to fill the entire page, generic advertisements are usually the first kind of items which get used to fill the space, and might consists of community events, town’s governmental meetings, political cartoons, etc. get used; all of these items are classified as fillers.
All of the news items the author, Daniel Ganninger, has compiled in this book are actual news items but due to their nature and newsworthiness, they’re just another type of filler which newspapers use to fill a page of newsprint. Newsworthy or not, this compilation of ofttimes weird and humorous things which people do or which has happened to them, unusual factual items, are a delight to read.
For having given his readers the type of book which doesn’t need to be read in one sitting, and all they need to do to enjoy it is to read enough so they’ve brightened, their day; which is why this book has gotten 5 STARS from this reviewer.… (mehr)
