Ok, this really could stand some editing, but I liked it more than it probably deserved for having such excellent angst! Talk about an insecure, downtrodden, martyr heroine - Belinda is a great example of one of my guilty pleasures: a borderline-doormat heroine who pines for the hero but believes he will never love her. I have a few quibbles - the biggest one being that Richard DO NOT grovel enough! - but this was a nice, brief escape into angst and fluff. I was kinda disappointed that Belinda was suddenly beautiful at the end. If all it takes is a haircut and some mascara for her to be a babe, then she was beautiful to begin with... but overall the drama was quite to my liking. (3.5 stars)… (mehr)
