Shakespeare's Globe

Nothing can truly measure up to my experience seeing the performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare’s Globe in the summer of 2016 (#wonderseason yay), but re-reading the program booklet was a sweet reminder of the wonderful event itself. I am in complete agreement with artistic director Emma Rice in selecting AMSND as my favourite play by William Shakespeare, and I absolutely found myself even more mesmerized by the performance because it felt like being a part of history. I’ve seen and read the play many times before, but nothing can quite measure up to the magic that was conjured that Sunday evening in Southbank. I just wish I could revisit it all over again - or at least hadn’t missed the tours of the theatre!… (mehr)
