This was very great and informative for a number of reasons. The first reason the book is good is because the language was very descriptive. The book outlines what the cowboys did throughout their day and what materials the cowboys had like their boots, bridle, and lasso. The book also described how cowboys caught cattle with great detail as well. Another reason the book is great is because of the illustrations. The drawings are very colorful and depict what everything looked like back then in great detail. There are pictures of the items cowboys have, where they live, and what towns looked like during the time. When the book wrote about how cowboys sang songs while sitting around the fire, there was a picture of music paper with a trail song on it. The big idea of this book is to teach about what it was like to be a cowboy hundreds of years ago.… (mehr)
