I never would have found this series without a blog I follow and I'm so glad I did. I started Live Me and halfway through, I immediately went to Amazon and borrowed the sequel from Kindle Unlimited. Eva and Blake's story was sweet, funny, sexy and heart-breaking at the same time. I was a little worried when Eva first meets Blake that he was a creepy creeperson but he soon proved to me that he was not. I may never view cupcakes the same way again. The end broke my heart but knowing I could start book two right away helped with that.

I will warn you that there are abuse/rape/mental health issues in this book so if that's not your thing, you may want to steer clear. I appreciate the author's info at the end of the book on statistics and more information throughout.… (mehr)

Blake you better be glad you redeemed yourself because half this book I wanted to strangle you. Also, I need a Drew book like yesterday. This is a darker story than book one. I really liked that the author had Eva go through a personal struggle and had her get it resolved. I won't say how but I did like the way that was dealt with speaking as a former mental health professional. Anyway, after 800 pages with these characters, I am glad that Eva and Blake's story is resolved but I need more regarding secondary characters. I loved Eva's date she had planned for Blake. Trying hard to avoid spoilers here. All in all, I am really glad I read this duet.

It is hard to believe that this was the debut book from this author. I almost am at a loss. Almost. The author did a beautiful job of weaving a story into a way that when the characters bleed you bleed. When they cry, you cry and when they are happy then you are happy. It is a roller coaster of highs and lows. Blake and Evangelina make your heart hurt and feel good at the same time. This book ends on a cliffhanger but the next one is out. 5.0 Poignant and heart stopping stars

Good lord. I cannot believe how this book made me feel. After reading the first part of this I truly didn't think that this author could fine-tune her skills in how she articulates a story nut I was wrong. Every word is used with a specific purpose. EVERY. WORD.

Eva. This girl. I was frustrated with her at times in the first book and it wasn't until this book that I realized why. I wanted her to stand up and tell Blake everything instead of fighting this on her own. Then I realized she couldn't do that because she held to much guilt and shame for things that were skewed in her mind. She needed to love herself for herself and fix her broken pieces for herself. She couldn't love Blake or LIVE through him. She had to find herself first even as much as Blake was truly the air that she breathed.

Blake. Good Lord. This sweet amazing man. The author did an exceptional job at portraying his range of emotions of feeling left out of the loop and for feeling betrayed because Eva chose to not tell him what was going on. His encounters with Drew and Jace were spot on on how he was hurt. His vulnerability and his devotion concerning Eva was the stuff that dreams are made of.

I wont give details but let me just say that the thought that went into Eva "fighting" for Blake and the lengths that she went to show him that she was all in was some of the best that I have ever read in any book. From the forget me not flowers to the stunning picture. It was a scavenger hunt of epic proportions. I was gobsmacked at the details. GOBSMACKED.

Jace. Goodness... everyone needs a best friend like him. He had me laughing at his one liners and wishing he was my best friend in the next. Drew. I adored him. He was such a catalyst n helping Eva. These three combined made her finally see herself for what she was-- worthy. The saying is true, "It takes a village." and in this case it really does. So many other characters that I hope get stories too because every character played a pivotal part in this story.

This book is definitely a top read of 2018.… (mehr)
