Mr. Mole Moves In is a cute book full of felt animals.

This book is so unique! I absolutely love the unique felt animals and how cool they are. The practical effects of the pictures is so amazing that I can hardly hide my excitement.

The story itself is great too - Mr. Mole moves in and meets a whole bunch of friends. It's entertaining and comedic, which makes it the perfect little book to bond with your children.

Four out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.… (mehr)

I’m not sure what is more charming, the story of the illustrations. The illustrations are actually pictures of felted animals and scenes they have been placed into. Mole has just moved to town. But he has some peculiar habits like shaking tree limbs instead of hands, buying erasers instead of candy, etc. It turns out that Mole lost his glasses and it’s a cute little bunny that figures it out. This was a lovely story that is reminiscent of Peter Rabbit and his crew.

There were poignant messages within like how to be a helpful, loving friend and how doing good deeds reaps it's own rewards and some unexpected ones too. The morals were not lost on my 7 year old though it was a bit rudimentary for her and early on it was easy for her to suss out what the end reveal would be. She is an intermediate level reader so maybe a slightly younger demographic would be preferable.… (mehr)
