Andrew Griffin (1) (1971–)

This was an enjoyable book for a few reasons. First, I thought it was a fun way for students to learn about the different types of monkeys without them even realizing it! For example, Stanley talked about how a gorilla was big and tall where as an ape is more short. The book also described that monkeys have different personalities. Second, I enjoyed the illustrations. The pictures were very bold and colorful. Alot of the pictures contained bright colors such as yellow, lime green, and pink. This made it more engaging. Lastly, I liked the language the author used. It was very clear and simple. He also bolded words such as "tall" or "big". These are great adjectives to teach to children. The overall idea of the book is to appreciate each other for the qualities they have.… (mehr)
