Short but interesting book of pictures of trench life in World War I.
This is an excellent selection of First World War photographs, some familiar, many I've never seen before, taken from the Daily Mail archives. The summary text is adequate but the captions are woeful. At best the captions are vaguely informative but many have little relationship to their associated photograph and some are just embarrassingly wrong. There is no index or IWM catalogue numbers for the photos either.
Well worth getting for the photos (if you can find it cheap) but you will have to do your own research.… (mehr)
