A very cute little children's book about a girl who gets a wonderful birthday present: horseback riding lessons! At first she imagines riding a huge black horse, but soon realizes that riding the small, safe pony is a lot better. The illustrations do a lot to enhance this story and really bring out the details that such a short story can't show with words.
