ADHD : a hunter in a farmer's world von Thom Hartmann
Not really deserving of three stars but maybe somewhere better than two? I’m don’t know. Picked this up hoping to find pointers for coping. What I came away with instead is the firm conviction I don’t actually have ADHD. Keep your desk clean and free of distractions? Yeah, love to. How? Pretty disillusioned not being the creative genius, risk taking entrepreneur he describes in here. Plus, please learn to use the neutral they.
His support for some of his statements is a little thin, but overall jibes with other things I've been reading -- The New Jim crow in particular. He does offer some potentially useful suggestions. I liked "treat guns like cars" : license people to use them with tests like driving tests; track their own ownership with VIN like IDs and have to transfer title; require liability insurance like most states require for car.s
More an outline than specific diagnosis and proposed solution (beyond take back the vote).
