By far one of the best books on Hood's efforts to take Nashville. Does a great job on painting a picture of the actual circumstances of what both Hood and Thomas experienced and why.
This is two works in one. Thomas Robson Hay wrote Cleburne and His Command which was originally writen in 1908 but very few copies were ever printed. The second work is from Cleburne's Adjutant Captain Irving A Buck. This work was very factual and fully supported issues are recorded in this work. He used Century Magazine articles and other biographical works to support this work. Since he had such a close relationship with General Cleburne I wish that he had told more of the personal side instead of the details on the battles.… (mehr)
