One star is for the casting director who managed to persuade such a stellar cast to participate in this absolute stinker. That really was a feat. The only laughs came via the bloopers at the end.

Intelligent goofball comedy, wondrously attentive to social currents. Having watched it right after I watched "Choke" (in which the ever-amazing Sam Rockwell plays a 'historic-interpreter'), I got to thinking how cool it'd be to use these two films to generate useful back-and-forth on historiography and its various potential traps.

Napoleon Dynamite is a high school nerd from Preston, Idaho who wears moon boots, knows secret government ninja moves and learns to dance using some old hip hop dance video casettes. His best friend is Pedro, an immigrant form Juarez, Mexico decides to run for School Council President and Napoleon joins his campaign.

Great story about acceptance and friendship. MPAA rating: Rated PG for thematic elements and language.
