I LOVED THIS BOOK AND MOSES!! Trinity Ashford cared about her friend, but he was late bringing Moses to her and their having coffee each morning made her think something was wrong when he didn't answer his phone. When she arrived, his apartment was so quiet that she could hear a pin drop. She discovered him in his bed with a knife sticking out of his chest and dialed 911, then she heard footsteps and hid in a closet. I liked Brad Armstrong for making up with his dad who owned the strip mall. Trinity thinks that he's the kilter as the scent was all over his dad's apartment. Each of these four novellas feature puzzles and murders. The story's all revolve around putting puzzles together, or selling boxes of puzzles, and each is unique, with different characters and culprits, but all keep you guessing, and page turning for answers!

You can sit down and read one, and then save the next, or if you are like me you won't be able to stop at one!

CJ Turley is the new overseer of Heavenly Acres, a tiny house community in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. As CJ began the circuit to introduce herself to all the residents and renters I was instantly delighted in the diversity of ages.

CJ's side-kick is Caper, a spaniel-mix puppy. Caper's paw-some sleuthing technique is digging and everyone is interested in his discoveries. Two of my favorite residents are Mrs. Mags Snyder and Eric Drake. Mags is the first resident CJ meets and the end of their visit had me laughing out loud. Eric is a Park Ranger and also provides security for the tiny house community. There's never a dull moment as CJ, Caper, and Mags add their sleuthing to the mix even though Eric considers it his job to investigate recent robberies.

Sadly, a descriptive error appeared early in the storytelling.
Chapter 1---

"I stopped the cart in front of a home the color of bananas with purple gingerbread trim."

Chapter 3---

"All the homes were white with different colored trim."

The digital book has a color drawing of a tiny house on wheels at the top of each chapter heading. In my opinion the color of the house was not white nor banana but it still enhanced the charm of reading this cozy.

As I enjoyed the cozy minus the distractions of needed copy edits (descriptive and grammatical) I'll give this series another try.

A book reviewer's observation: On LibraryThing the cover art matches the Kindle edition downloaded from Amazon of a blue house with white trim without visibility of the wheels of the tiny house. I found it interesting that on another website where I also post my reviews, the cover art of the tiny house for the Kindle edition matches the chapter heading art work including visibility of the house wheels.… (mehr)
